The play definitely enhanced my knowledge of the legends

There is certain confidence about Michael that I can relate to and pull from to deliver that best performance
Do you think the history of the Civil Rights movement is still prevalent today?
Absolutely!

No
Do you think this play and others like it are reaching the people they need to, to be effective?
If one person can walk away and say they learned something or want to learn more on their own then I would say the play was a success.
Do you think the music in this piece is an important part of telling the story?
Yes, it does.
Is being part of this cast and crew an enjoyable experience?
Being a part of this talented cast and crew is so inspiring and enjoyable.
Where do you plan to go in this field of work?
You know it’s hard to say right now, I find it exhilarating to be on stage but at the same time, I have very young children that require my attention. I definitely plan on staying active albeit not at the level that I would want.
What is it like working with the Director?
Alan is a very talented Director that knows how to get the best out of you. He is definitely one of the reasons why I’m acting and makes it hard to say no sometimes.

Shanae is super talented and is a pleasure to work with
What makes “Chapter 22” so unique?
In a world where the past is swept under the rug and forgotten its plays like “Chapter 22” that our community should embrace because in order for us to move forward in progress we need to know the past and “Chapter 22” does that in a refreshing manner.
Are the performing arts an important aspect to the African-American diaspora?
Yes! It’s important for the upcoming generation to see people in them and more importantly to have stories written and produced by African Americans.
