“Wear the Crown” presents the story of a mentally battered and bruised African American family where generations clash over their moralistic beliefs in the midst of the matriarch’s reemerged liver cancer. The film poses questions surrounding tolerance, sexuality, womanhood and how they seemingly conflict with perception of Christian principles. The film aims to break down the walls of intolerance while capturing a lens on the dogma that often cripples our society.
