Lynn Slusher is a Nashville background vocalist and up & coming actress with a knack for African-American theatre. She is portraying the role of “Alyssa Lewis” in Chapter 22.

Did you originally know the history of "The Legends" that are in this story, or did you find out about them because of this play?

Some of them, YES!

Do you (cast members specifically) relate closely to your character?

I can relate to Alyssa very well. I've been that shy young girl. I still struggle from time to time.

Do you think the history of the Civil Rights movement is still prevalent today?

ABSOLUTELY it is

Do you participate in today's progressive black movements? And if so, how?

Yes I vote every chance I get. I give to the NAACP and Black Lives Matter.

Do you think this play and others like it are reaching the people they need to, to be effective? YES

Do you think the music in this piece is an important part of telling the story?

Absolutely
